PostHeaderIcon Rooney is fit and roaring!

‘You did not believe me, but I told you that Rooney was fit!’. These were the words that were echoed by David Moyes in Japan, just after Rooney had tweaked his hamstring and was forced to get on a plane home. Moyes revealed that Rooney had been in the best shape ever when he came back from his holidays for preseason training. It is no coincidence, that Ferguson used to reveal that Rooney needed ‘many’ games, till he could actually ‘be himself’, but this time things are different.

“I was really impressed with the condition he was in and the work he did in pre-season. He is getting the fruits of that. He’s worked hard and is showing everyone exactly what he can do, purred David Moyes at today’s press conference at Carrington. Indeed, it is evident, that Rooney has a weight problem, due to his size, and he has been warned by the Manchester United sports science that he has to take care of himself better, especially as he gets older each year.

The postive thing with Wazza is that he has taken everyone by surprise with the levels of his fitness, even though he has missed the bulk of preseason. Next month, come the world cup qualifiers, England will be desperatley looking to him for some inspiration.

As reported by an online sportsbook information source England should go to the World cup and are favourites for the home matches vs Montenegro and Poland.

PostHeaderIcon Why Rooney could have played for England

Wayne Rooney’s head injury might have stopped him playing a central role for England, but one quick-thinking company based in the US,  helped get the striker back on the pitch at Old Trafford sooner than expected. Storelli is a New York-based firm that specialises in protective gear for athletes, particularly footballers and there have been numerous footballers throughout the years who have used their products. Cech is the most prominent figure to benefit from this company. After damaging his skull in a freak accident, a few years ago, he is still obliged to wear the protective headband.

It is a known fact that the company,on hearing of Rooney’s injury, they immediately touched base with Man United medical team, lead by Rob Swire to offer their services and United, suitably intrigued, requested some samples. They arrived last Thursday night and, after training with it for only a day, Rooney was happy enough to start the game.

The ExoShield HeadGuard provides protection for players with, or concerned about, injuries. The panel designs help spread impacts across the head, with extra protection covering the temples and back of the skull.

Speaking after online sportsbooks reported England’s narrow win, it was all to apparent that Rooney still has some work to do before he is 100% match fit.

PostHeaderIcon Irish fans taunt Ronaldo but they have last laugh..

Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday eclipsed Eusebio, the past portughese great of 41 goals tally, by scoring a hattrick in yesterday’s impressive win over Northern Ireland, after coming back from a goal down and with 10 men. As expected, Ronaldo dedicated his goals and victory to his late dad who perished 8 years ago, who up to today, Cristiano still remembers him very fondly.

The qualifier ended with Portugal down to 10 men and Northern Ireland nine. Bruno Alves volleyed Portugal ahead, but Michael O’Neill’s side hit back with a 36th-minute Gareth McAuley header and a goal from Jamie Ward after half-time.

Ronaldo’s early touches were roundly booed by the crowd, as the home fans, in typical Northern Ireland fashion tried to make their voices heard, though it was hard not to admire a wonderful piece of trickery that saw him nutmeg fellow captain Steven Davis. The lead was less than 10 minutes old when Brunt’s dismissal made it an even playing field, a clumsy challenge on Joao Pereira earning his second yellow in what was a reckless challenge for someone to be on a yellow.
Roy Carroll made a fine save to deny Miguel from 25 yards but the equaliser arrived from Moutinho’s 68th minute corner.

Ronaldo shook off the attentions of substitute Lafferty to power his header past Carroll and go level with Eusebio on 41.

The whole of the portughese bench jumped could be seen with jumping with joy.

There was even more elation from the away contingent after 77 minutes, when Coentrao’s hanging cross picked out Ronaldo at the far post.

He was, unforgiveably, unmarked and headed emphatically into the corner from close range.

Lafferty was next for an early bath, a senseless lunge at Pereira his sin, and the stage was set for Ronaldo. He rifled home an 83rd-minute free-kick to secure the match ball and leave Bale with a timely reminder of the standards expected from the best in the world.

As reported online sportsbook http://www.sportbook.ag/ US are clear favorites to lift the CONCACAF but Mexico are expected to give them a good run for their money.
